The version of "Fever", sung by Carter Calvert, is a sultry show-stopper. Record live at Lincoln Center, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and Taj Mahal contributed their considerable talents to studio-recorded guest appearances. The show was nominated for Four Tony® and Three Drama Desk® Awards. The enhanced CD includes a narrative history of the blues by Whoopi GoldbergTaj Mahal, and Ron Taylor, as well as several dozen historical photos which were used in the stage production.
